I want to save games by date so u click on the mini icon upper right corner that looks like a calendar. u would think a calendar would pop up? but it doesn't? so how do you save a game by date then a month down the road find it? thanks

Manually name it.

so the by date doesn't have a calendar? and when you go to search for it u look thru manual named saves?

All the saved games are located in the same place. What VirginInTheSky is saying is you need to click on the name and change the default file name before you save it. Name it whatever you want, like, "Beginning of Turn 8 Assault on Stalingrad" or "Kiln 7/10/21." You can on top change how saved games are displayed, too. By default the game lists them by most recently to least recently saved. I sometimes place them in alphabetical order if I know exactly what file/map I'm looking for instead of scrolling forever.
