Hello,

I am unable to start the game from both the steam launcher and the .exe file. The launcher itself initiates but when I hit "PLAY" a small screen comes upp that says "Preapring to launch Panzer Corps 2" and then the launcher pops back up again. I have tried all the fixes I have been able to find online but none work.

I have:
- run UE4PrereqSetup_x64.exe
- run VC_redist.x64.exe
- run VC_redist.x86.exe
- have put vcruntime140_1.dll in the same folder as the .exe
- installed the latest drivers for my GPU, 472.12-desktop-win10-win11-64bit-international-dch-whql.exe
- uninstalled and re-installed the game numerous times
- verified the integrity of the local files numerous times
- deleted the cache and settings folders.

I run Kaspersky Total Security as my AV software and have attached a DxDiag file.

I've dealt with this before.

Browse to where your PC2 is installed.

~\steamapps\common\Panzer Corps 2
right click on Launcher.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility
and make sure that you don't have any of the compatibilities checked:

Do the same for:
~\steamapps\common\Panzer Corps 2\PanzerCorps2.exe
And for:
~\steamapps\common\Panzer Corps 2\PanzerCorps2\Binaries\Win64\PanzerCorps2-Win64-Shipping.exe

I was having the same problem and noticed when I launched the 'Launcher' from the game directory it displayed error "0xc0000135" (but was not getting the error message when launched from steam). This is what fixed it for me: https://nerdschalk.com/how-to-fix-0xc00 ... n-windows/
