Question about fantasy invasion settings

Bought CK2 on the summer sale, so this is my first play through. Figured out most of the mechanics, but the fantasy invasion thing confuses me. Is there a way to turn those off? Or to make them GoT-only?
Got an alert midway through my game that the Aztec Empire on behalf of Brandon Stark's 400 year old ghost were launching an invasion of Westeros and they're rumored to be eating everyone.
I mostly ignored the alert thinking it was a bug, concentrating on my Tarth duchy, then noticed that the Aztec's landed in the Westerlands and took it over. Now they own the entire North, the Twins and the entire Westerlands, heh.
What's the best setting to not have that happen on my next game?appvalley tutuapp tweakbox
