GROUP STAGE GAMES Start 24th September 2021

The teams were drawn into groups for the Group stage on 16th September.

Group Stage Games will take place in three rounds.
Each round lasts two weeks.
Each group will play each round according to the fixtures in the Group Topic. E.g. Group A Fixtures & Challenges

These topics are now open.

Scoring will be shown in Group Tables & Results and in a summary sticky for all groups.

Round 1 will start on or before* 24th September 2021 and must finish by 08th October 2021
Round 1 will be
Game 1 first drawn team (e.g. A1) vs second drawn team (e.g. A2)
Game 2 third drawn team (e.g. A3) vs fourth drawn team (e.g. A4)
Round 2 will start on or before* 09th October 2021 and must finish by 23rd October 2021
Round 2 will be
Game 3 first drawn team (e.g. A1) vs third drawn team (e.g. A3)
Game 4 second drawn team (e.g. A2) vs fourth drawn team (e.g. A4)
Round 3 will start on or before* 24th October 2021 and must finish by 07th November 2021
Round 3 will be
Game 5 first drawn team (e.g. A1) vs fourth drawn team (e.g. A4)
Game 6 second drawn team (e.g. A2) vs third drawn team (e.g. A3)

*Games can start a day or so early but challenges should not be placed more than 36 hours (allowing 1 day with time differences) before the start date to avoid the possibility of challenges being lost.

The knockout rounds will start 8th November.

Challenges
Please check your own Group Topic for the fixture lists and be ready to post challenges in your own Group Topic. So Group A challenges are posted to Group A Fixtures & Challenges; and Group B challenges are posted to Group B Fixtures & Challenges and so on.

Either player may initiate a game by posting a challenge in the appropriate thread in the competition forum and by sending a PM to their opponent. Please post the challenge in the 36 hours before the start date.

All challenges will select "Open Battle" for the scenario type. All battles will use “Medium” 1200-point armies’, players will choose a “Medium" army and a “Medium" battlefield, with ‘Potluck’ terrain and “Medium” 24 turns
In the Group Stage challenges should be posted in the 36 hours before the start date for the round.

Results
Please be ready to post results in your own group topic,
So Group A results are posted to Group A Tables & Results, Group B results to Group B Tables & Results and so on.

Results should always be posted in the correct group in the form of the example below:-

Period 1 Hell on Wheels loss 24 vs Furia Francesa loss 60.*

The winning player or the team captain should post results. Captains, Please feel free to post more than one period at a time but please keep the report in the format shown above.

*In this game Hell on Wheels would have won the period 1 match having lost 24 points while Furia Francesca lost 60 points.
Please note this is a different format to the DL reporting.

Points
- points awarded for game results (win, draw, loss)

- total % army damage points lost by the team's armies in games played.
Caused
- total % army points damage inflicted on opponents armies in games.
Diff(erence)
Value of Caused minus Lost


Ranking is by Game Points, Damage Caused and Difference between Damaged Caused and Loss.

Well done all so far and please post Round 2 challenges between mid-day on the 7th and midnight on the 8th.

Reporting the result of a game is the responsibility of the winning player. If you are a losing player and notice that the result has not been posted after three days, you should post the result yourself. The team captain will also be responsible.

Please remember that (unless there are exceptional circumstances agreed with the organisers) games should be played within the period set for the round.
This is to keep the match play character of the tournament (and to help the poor scorers too ! ).
