Hey there,
maybe thats a stupid question but is there something like a summary stastic for my campaign or my general?
In the good old panzergeneral you could click a button and you saw how many tanks, fighters, infantry you killed, how many you lost etc...I always tried to have zero losses at all from 1939 to 1945
In PC2 I can see how many HP my core units killed of any tpye, but that is not what i want.
Any ideas?

I will give this a try!:
"HP totals" have a somewhat ambiguous or less than tangible relevance to the players mindset... than say... an actual physical hard numerical count of kills and losses!. If it were possible... an actual physical tabulation of assessed kill categories or classes and losses of troops, hardware and mechanised equipment... would be much more interesting and meaningful or satisfying than some lump-sum... cold this total and that cold total.
What would make this much more historically and personally intriguing... would be to see if it were possible to now somehow compare and correlate your present 'Game-Kills & Losses'... to then be directly related too!... or compared too!... the actual 'Historical-Kills & Losses'... that actually occurred!. This way... now your personal results would or could be directly compared to what the actual historical results were... thereby giving you a results comparison perspective as to how well you did... "better or worse!"... in relation to what had actually occurred in the past historical conflict event.

I find it interesting that you wish for a count of how many units you've destroyed as it was in PC1. Interesting because I always thought back then that the way it is now in PC2 made far more sense. Units killed could, and often was, very misleading. For example, in PC1 I usually used a rather low experience fighter to finish off weak enemy units, but I would never have used them to make the initial attack because they would have taken horrific loses. As a result, they'd build up an impressive number of kills but actually inflicted little damage whereas my most experienced fighter had few "kills" but in fact did most of the damage.
I suppose though you could ask, "Okay, but why couldn't they have stats for both, kills and HPs?" to which I don't have a good answer.

Well, I am just wondering why they removed or forgot some features. It just a silly statistic, should not be a problem or much effort to put it in the game.
I am also missing a feature, to create different generals and have a good overview. As far as I know you got only savegames, which can be very consufing. Since several years it is a standard game feature, that you cancreate several characters, who you can use or reactivate whenever you want.

Switching to something that fits better to what happens in the game isn't exactly removing or forgetting features. If either was the case, you wouldn't have these stats at all, instead you get stats that they probaby felt made more sense. Whether one agrees with that is personal preference, but it does feel more logical the way things get counted now.
I haven't seen much of this supposed standard game feature. There are countless strategy games out there, and very few of them have you run around with specific characters. It's not a feature PG or PC ever had either. I couldn't tell you even one game that had this sort of feature. Not that I play tons of games to really clarify this.
One thing that I do think took a step back is how saves are saved. PC1 allowed you to create saves with the same name (mission and round), due to having the date included. This time around you have to enter a different name every time you play the same mission.

What is the feature that fits better or substitutes what I am missing?
You can tell me how many tanks you killed and how many you lost after one scenario?
Like I said, its a silly statistic, I could do this myself with a peace of paper while playing. I see no reason why the remove something that is easy to implement.

Panzer Generals 3D (1997) already had something like that. All your generals were listed in a ranking and you could see how many wins etc. they achieved.
