Do units vanish between scenarios???

Hello,
I have Panzer Corps 2 basic game and AO Spanish Civil War.
I played through the basic game 2 times. Great game. I had a lot of fun. It seemed to be bug-free.
But in the shortly purchased AO Spanish Civil War I encountered a strange situation. A unit just vanished.
At the end of scenario #2 I have four AA guns (two of them are temporarily working as AT gun). Please look at the screenshot below.
At the end of the last turn of this map "Antequera" I have definitely four AA guns. But at the beginning of the 3rd map "Merida" the 4th AA gun is vanished. WHY?
Please look at the 2nd screenshot below.
I play at field marshal difficulty level. Therefore I neither can nor want to loose any units, because prestige points are very rare. At field marshal I have -60% prestige and +10% base accuracy to the enemy.
Are there any hidden rules in the game - regarding this difficulty level?

In the first picture, the one with all 4 AA Guns, the left of the AA guns in AA fire mode is an Auxillary Unit, and Auxillaries don't transfer between Scenarios like your Core does.
Core units are designated by a yellow/gold arrow on top of the unit thumbnail in that sidebar, you can compare it to the Core AA Gun next to it.

That 2 strength AA is an Aux unit (note that it does not have a yellow ^ above its strength plate), so it won't transfer to the next scenario like Core units (those with a yellow ^ above strength plates) do. Aux unit can only exist in the scenario it appears.

There is no bronze-coloured chevron above that unit. So the AA Gun must be purchased auxilliary Italian unit. Okay, but...
....which is a bit strange in my opinion, because I can't buy any Italian AA guns in scenario number 2 at all. When I decide to restart the scenario, I can not buy such a unit. Spooky

You can purchase aux German units if your core slot is filled up, or manually setting the purchase to aux unit by clicking on the ^ mark in cart.

Ahh, yeah you are right. When my core slot is filled up and in addition to that I purchase e.g. a tank it is permissible to obtain that unit, but this time without belonging to my core units.
