is this totally a Falls and Luftwaffe battle? no other units can hitch a ride and land on the Island? which is fine by me, I just want a heads up on reassigning Heroes and/or if its necessary to keep slots available to transport motorized units after airfield capture. is there any hidden caches of valuable equipment?

but you have to hold the art in reserve? isn't it more effective to use all the slots for planes and Falls?

Interesting I never knew you could airlift 75mm, trying to think of a scenario where it would help.

My advice , if you have Oleh Dir, a double movement and a double attack heroes, you can take one airfield in Crete during the first turn, thereafter you can debark and move the other units you have loaded by airplane during the second turn, in the previous version of the rules you don´t need a double movement leader even . So deploy your artillery AT and AA with all the infantry that weren´t "paras" in movement range from the airfield closer to Crete, to embark in airtransports and move them during the first turn towards the airfield that your "para" with Oleh +double movement+double attack took

Light AA includes the quad 20mm. You can also upgrade units and add transport once you control a supply hex. For example, a max strength 75mm artillery is the same slot cost as the base strength nebelwerfer. The rockets are far more effective against entrenched infantry and help chip away at armored units more effectively than the 75mm.

I just used aircraft and Paras with no problem. used 2 15 OS Strat bombers both with double and lethal attack. 3 mixed fighter types and 1 stuka ignore entrenchment. wiped out the army and navy. parked Barr between 2 fighters and took out 2 at a time. EZ thanks to earlier tips

I'd never fought Crete but after Crete for the first time I surrendered Galland for 109G's and am now joining Army Group North for the first time. any heads ups? what about special caches to go after? will have an opportunity to capture the Russian SU-15 AT?

For caches and CP award, events, just check this topic. It haven't get updated to AO 42 due to the patch not yet coming, but everything until AO 41 should be there. viewtopic.php?f=464&t=101173
What is a "SU-15 AT"? There was never such a designation if I remember correct.

I probably got the name wrong but you first encounter it in the quick battle on the way to Kiev where Hauptmann gets ambushed. Smolensk? The Russian AT is by the first objective bottom left. the AT. an AA, couple infantry. maybe a tank. then you go straight right to the bottom center of the map for the 2 main hexes separated by a hex. you can also get there by coming from the top right

ZS-30 is the Russian AT. if you play your cards right, by using scavenger + envelopment Hero Combo, u can capture double digit ZS-30's here then keep adding thru capture and commendation point surrender. Camo, expert support, artillery support, Field repair. SweeeeeeeeeTTTTT!!!!
