So the proportion of HW has been lowered in the Irish lists, which seems good. Has it (or should it) be lowered in Vikings in Ireland, Anglo-Irish, and the various lists that use the Irish as allies?

I considered the Anglo-Irish and decided not to reduce the numbers in their lists. Probably not in the Viking lists either, as their Irish vassals would be most likely to convert to axes sooner. And they only have 5 units of them anyway at 1200 points.

Irish allies are drawn from the Irish list, so will automatically have their HW contingent reduced.

Fair enough. I suppose the rationale would be the same with allies, with the better armed Irish more likely to be found serving alongside foreign armies for field battles than the kerns.

True, and players will select them that way, even though they will be selecting them from the new version of the Irish list, so a smaller maximum of HW men.
