I'll likely be dead before Slitherine and the producers/developers of Pike and Shot venture into the 18th century. Given that Richard Bodley Scott stated that this is a niche game, I don't hold out much hope. Although a lot of talented folks have created scenarios for this period, I do not wish to fight pre ordered battles. What I would like to see is the ability to fight skirmish games within the 18th century. I realize that this is unlikely with this game engine(RBS, maybe you can pipe in on this)and/or beyond my ability to do on my own. Just ranting here, as although I really enjoy this game, I've been waiting literally decades for a good 18th century game. In my opinion Empire Total War sucks, as does the game Horse and Musket...both 18th century, both horrid...guess I've been spoiled by Pike and Shot. Rant over. 😠

There is some hope:

Cronos is working on an 18th century module for FoGII that will theoretically eventually include smirmishes. But it's in fairly early stages.
