Hi
I recently discovered by accident that the ability to fight campaign battles against a human opponent using hotseat is built in FOG II Midlevel. Although not surprisingly it does not look as if you include earlier armies accessed via the “Time Warp” module in this feature.

Is there any prospect of having the FOG II Ancients engine updated to allow players to do the in that game as well ?

Kind regards
Ian

You can play Hotseat in Time Warp Campaigns, I have just tested it. I think it would be technically impossible to exclude the Time Warp armies from the Hotseat option.

I have now tested it in FoG2 Ancients, and Hotseat works in the Campaigns there too, with the exception that the player can only control the "AI" side after from the second turn. Strangely, the AI controls that side for the deployment phase and the first turn, but after that the player can take control. I'm not sure if that is intentional, perhaps RBS can throw some light on the issue?

cheers

Paul

I don't recall. I will look at it when time permits.

Thanks guys this is very helpful. Had a play around with this now and can see how it works. You should make more of this feature as its takes the multi player gaming experience to a whole new level.
