Hi in a paired multiplayer game as one side my light infantry (and light cavalry) would only deploy to the same extent as the rest of the army. In the other paired game they deployed 2 squares forward as normal . My opponent has no such problem.

Is it something dumb i have done or a glitch?

It happens sometimes.

It is my understanding that sometimes the deployment algorithm deploys non-light units to the same extent as the light ones (and not the other way around, so no big deal) to avoid deploy them in difficult (woods...) or impassable terrain (mountains...).

A variant of it is enemy light unit(s) you can see during deployment time because they are just in front of impassable mountains (and couldn't be deployed on those mountain squares).

Rare. And not very serious, is it ?
