Attack! 2022

The Devizes & District Wargames Group's website states that their much-loved show will be back hopefully over the weekend of 16th-17th July 2022.
I have been in touch with Phil Mackie to say that I am happy to organise and run a FOG R competition at Attack! 2022. Please put the dates in your calendar so that we have a good turnout.
Below is the draft theme and would welcome comments on the proposal: -
Attack! 2022
16/17 July
The Battle of Vienna 1683.
Rules: - FOGR with all amendments publish at that time plus those shown below.
Scale: - 15mm
Points: - 820 points plus the value of their cheapest base cost i.e. if the cheapest points for a base are 5 points then the player can have up to 825 points in their army.
Format – Singles competition with 4 x 3hour 15minute games
Venue: Devizes School, The Green, Devizes, Wiltshire SN10 3AG
Armies: -
Later Polish & Lithuanian – Duty and Glory
Later Ottoman Turkish – Clash of Empires
Hungarian Kuruc Rebellion – Duty and Glory
Habsburg Austrian Imperial (Eastern) – Duty and Glory
Later German States (only Bavaria, Saxony, Swabia, Franconia) – Duty and Glory
Tatar – Clash of Empires
Wallachian/Moldavian - Clash of Empires
The following list modifications/restrictions and additional rules will apply:
Foot
1) The army cannot include more than 5 units with any pike capability.
2) Dragoons when making any move including an evade starting or ending within 6MU of the enemy, may make a full dragoon mounted move if they pass a CMT.
.3) If they make a move which would be longer than that allowed to dragoons on foot they may shoot but as Carbines (range and effect) not Muskets as they are shooting from horseback, or have dismounted so quickly that they cannot shoot properly as a unit.
4) Dragoons may use Bayonet if the infantry in their army can at the relevant cost per base.
Mounted Troops
5) The army must include at least 16 bases of mounted battle troops.
6) No more than half of the mounted battle troops in the army can be Superior or Elite.
7) Armies with insufficient Superior mounted battle troops in their army list can upgrade whichever type of Average mounted battle troops in their list is most expensive in points to Superior up to the above limit.
Cavalry if they pass a CMT, can either move 2MU and turn 180, or turn 180 and move 2MU, as well as turn 180, move 2MU and turn 180.
Artillery
Any unlimbered heavy or medium artillery must be in the first BG's to be deployed

Closing date for entries will be Friday 17th June 2022 – this might be extended by a week but down to the Devizes & District Wargames Group
List checker: – TBC- List should be submitted no later than Saturday 2th July 2022 to allow time for checking.
Additional information; -
All the competition boards have been painted mottled greens and browns. If you want to bring a mat or cloth is it up to you
Tournament Schedule:
Saturday
Check-in: 8.30 am to 9.15 am (The earlier everyone gets here, the earlier we can get through check-in and “let the games begin”)
Round 1: 9.15 am to 12.30 pm
Lunch: 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm (meals are available from the café on site, but there can be long waits – if possible, find someone to take an order for you)
Round 2: 1.30 pm to 4.45 pm
Sunday
Round 3: 9.00 am to 12.15 pm (n.b. earlier start-time than Saturday)
Lunch: 12.15 pm to 1.15 pm
Round 4: 1.15 pm to 4.30 pm
Prizegiving: As soon as we can work it out!
