I have the Beta rules now and have printed them out , assembling the Albuera forces and want to discuss some things.
So I need access to to Area 51.
Will hopefully set up a game this weekend and run through the rules with my 9 year old son , that will be a real test

If something doesn't make sense he'll let us all know

Did they send you army lists? If yes, how many?

I also have a Beta copy of the rules, but no access to Area 51 to post feedback.

Yeah, I'm still waiting for access, too.

I think the few mods are way swamped with sending out the beta(s) one by one via email and haven't got to forum user access yet. Also the IWF this weekend may have caused a few mods to go missing.

Actually I don't think a Moderator can set access rights (I certainly can not), that's probably restricted to Admins (basically the McNeils and Petirouge), which means they are really going to be swamped. So allow them a grace period.

Looking forward to raising a few discussion points myself, looking good - I hope to get some lead on table very soon

I am also waiting for the access to area 51...

looking forward to discuss my first impressions and perhaps a first attempt to play a small battle (my dusty nappies are waiting since more than 10 year, yeah EMPIRE III...., the reopening of the dances...)

I don't recall FOG Ancients being quite so secretive.

I have had the rules and been playing for more than a week now. I have a list of questions it would be nice to get answers to, but I still cannot get into Area 51.
Can somebody grant me permission?

Area 51 is writing team only. I expect Slitherine to set up a FoG N Beta board for tester feedback.

I recommend get play testing and make notes of your questions for posting when the board becomes available.

Sorry Nic but I beg to differ; The FOGN Beta 1 testers had and still have access to the FOGN forum in the Area 51 section. I can only assume that the additional testers new to Beta 2 will be granted access once the organisers complete their tester lists.

As for your recomendation about starting play and taking notes. I heartily concur, this is what John S and I had to do at the start as well.

Fair enough - obviously Terry is doing things differently from FoG:AM and FoG:R

Not me mate - I only do what I'm told.

There have been a few problems in making sure that everyone has access, partly my fault.
If anyone has the rules but no access, you should let me know immediately by personal email, and include your username in the message.

The testers will be admitted to the restricted area shortly.

Iain is on holiday this week and on his return he will carry out the necessary mods to allow this. Store up your points till next week please

I am a loitering 51 user wannabe too. Have sent emails and been spam checked and EVERYTHING. So, at the risk of being another annoying pain in the pilum praxis, can you include me when the Great and the Good let us peasants into the area, please. Sorry to harass.
