We're releasing a new update for Panzer Corps 2.

It is technical patch updating Unreal Engine from 4.26.1 and 4.26.2 which fixes a number of crashes and stability issues. Later today we'll have some great news on upcoming content, so stay tuned.

After this update I have been unable to continue passed Yelna due to an unreal engine glitch. Re booted reloaded no improvement

Thank you for this long awaited information! That was exactly what we wanted to see!

After this latest patch today, I am not able to continue past the Bug River scenario to either the Norway North or Norway South scenarios in the original 1939 campaign.

Pre-patch, I was able to progress to the Norway North scenario. I lost that battle, so started my campaign over again, but now cannot progress to either of the Norway scenarios.

However, the game now simply crashes every time, with an Unreal engine error message, so I'm now stuck. This is a big disappointment.

I have the same issue with the unreal engine crash. i am replaying the first game in 39 both with and without a carried core. crashes every turn.

I cannot continue as well.
After the first scenario of AO 1940 (in Norway) and I choose the training mission the game immediately crashes when I click on Accept.
After rebooting my PC I still have the same issue.

Edit: I started a new campaign AO 1940, did not import any core, used the cheat to win the scenario.
Same thing as earlier, when I choose the training mission and then click on Accept the game crashes.
So it's not related to a save.

I have an old GPU, is this a GPU driver issue? I updated those 3 months ago.

Edit 2: updated to the most recent drivers (Nvidia 466.77 in my case) still the issue persists

Ditto...no matter what I try, it always crashes after finishing any scenario. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

Same here.

i have just loaded and played the first game of 1941, as soon as i pressed continue on the battle summary page i got an unreal crash.

Ordinarily if you have a crash after an upgrade, the first thing you should do is delete the cache. 9/10 times thats the reason and is kind of the inevitable consequence of upgrading. The save game no longer corresponds to the upgraded system.

However the team is currently looking into it.
This is a rare case when 1.1.21 and 1.1.22 are pretty much functionally equivalent, only Unreal version is different. If 1.1.21 works fine and 1.1.22 does not, then you can continue using 1.1.21 and not miss anything. So a temporary solution is to roll back to the previous version. We'll deploy a permanent fix asap.

I can confirm that I deleted the cache and that the problem still exists. I would not have any idea as to how to roll back to the previous version as I use Steam.

STEAM
Go to your Steam Library.
Right click on Panzercorps 2 in the list and select Properties.
Click on Betas in the left panel.
In the right panel will be a drop down list below "Select the Beta you would like to opt into " that initially says None.
Press that and select the legacy 1.21 version. That will downgrade you and you really won't notice any difference in gameplay.

"Hello All! A quick update: we have identified and fixed the issue, the fix will be deployed tomorrow morning first thing. Basically, it is connected to ZeroSlots and ReducedSlots heroes - when you have any of these in your core when moving to the next mission, you get a crash. When we were testing it, we did not have such heroes, so we missed it. We apologize for this problem.

Until the permanent fix is deployed, you can roll back to 1.1.21 and continue playing. In Steam, open game's properties, switch to BETAS tab, and select legacy - Legacy v01.01.21 from the dropdown list."
