Is that normal, that the on map losses (5) do not tally with the losses screen (4) ?

Yes. It is due to rounding errors, when calculating the killed and wounded. The game rounds down all fractions (unless code is added to round ones above 0.5 up). Also bearing in mind that the game you depicted is being played with a 50% strength modifier.

People occasionally notice this and raise the issue when only one unit has suffered losses. Of course, later in the game any rounding errors in the report tend to be unnoticeable.

Look at it this way, Medieval scribes made mistakes when reporting the "butcher's bill" to the leader - if he even bothered to ask.

Ah yes we must keep those monks scribbling away writing of all our glorious deeds on the field of battle. A few exaggerated claims or occasional rounding errors shall not mar the grand tales of chivalric feats of daring do! I hear the Prior has a way with words. Pray that the monks of his scriptorium do not mock your most ignominious defeats though.

Thanks Richard. Obviously it is not an issue for game play, just hadn't realised that casualties were in partial men rather than whole numbers.

They aren't, but the report divides the losses between killed and wounded, and that does require division, which gets rounded down. Of course we could make the total add up correctly with a little more code, but it probably isn't worth the effort.
