Skins issues, air skins, and hotseat

Hello, I've been playing around with custom skins, and I noticed in my hot-seat game that I can assign a skin to a unit, play my turn, and the other player not only doesn't see my skin, but also it is gone when my turn comes again. Thoughts? I'm playing the huge The Russian Campaign multiplayer scenario.
Are there templates somewhere I can grab so I can make skins/textures for my planes, like 109s and Stukas? I see mods have a few but I haven't been successful with altering them for my own use.
Thanks,
C

Hmm, converting that scenario to a single player vs ai in the editor allows me to change skins for tanks and have it "stick." I notice I can't save traditionally in a hot-seat game. Any way around this?

Aircraft and ships do not support custom skinning currently, mods may retexture them though. We are still in the process of making more ground units "skinnable".

Thanks for the reply!
Is there a way to get the skin changes to stick in a hot-seat game?

It's not really made for MP, hotseat etc I think, but I talk to coders if that can be improved. Can't promise it though.

Unlocked skins are available in free mission mode, free flight, and multiplayer. When the campaign is completed - with repeated passes, skins can be changed there as well. This is generally logical. During the first passage of the campaign, the "skin" of the plane corresponds to what is happening in the plot. It's one thing to play cs go and face the problems of
trade rust skins. That's right there... You will have to look for people who will agree to exchange skins with you for a long time. But if you look at the situation objectively, you can often find ads on the Internet about their sale. So the problem can be solved.
