How to change the character's name?

I designed for myself my favorite ships and characters. Initially when I was designing, I just gave it a temporary name. Now I want to edit the name of the ship, how do I do it? Where do you change your character's name? Do I have to leave it or not? Or is there a way to rename it? everyone please help me.
