I m under impression that muslims are under represented in terms of armour. They do not have any infantry with at least some* armour or Armour . Is it due to budget constraints or historically that would be how they 'd look in 1200 AD ? (examples: muslim spearmen, veteran muslim spearmen and others)

What evidence do you have of widespread armour among Muslim infantry except for officers? Bear in mind that Osprey-type books tend to over emphasize the prevalence of armour among their representations because armoured figures look “cooler”

i m almost completely ignorant of this time period armour , at least in that southern /muslim part so i wont make any claims . if you say that based on the research it is a legitimate choice to have them not wear armour i ll accept that. i only asked because i know theres a possibility that they do not have armour due to dev budget reasons

No, they don't have armour because as far as we know they usually didn't.

I have assumed that the heat in the south was a primary reason for little armor.

Undoubtedly there are multiple factors in play. However if you have ever done physically demanding tasks in a hot dry or hot humid environment, it doesn't take much to exhaust a person and if not careful, heat exhaustion and heat stroke is a real danger. A lot of water is required as well. Now add 20-30-40 pounds of armor and a shield. However there would be a difference between riding a horse and moving around on foot. On horseback, there is far less exertion required but armor would still tend to trap heat. Although I am not really sure just how hot it was in North Africa, Spain and the Middle East during the ancients timeframe. Maybe it was a factor and maybe not.
