Am getting 'unknown error' most of the time when I try to log in, it started happening yesterday.
Also 'authentification ...' and it is slow to respond.
Sometimes it works but am feeling reluctant to play even when I can get in in case the game won't upload at the end of the turn.
Maybe related to the problems with WITE2 on the Matrix server ?

Yes, only in Medieval for me, too. There was a Windows update yesterday so not sure if that messed something up.

It's happening to me as well in Medieval today - yesterday I couldn't log in to FoG Empires MP.
I changed my email recently, so I assumed it might have something to do with that. But seeing that other players are also experiencing the same login error, I'm inclined to think it's something server-side.

Since yesterday, I'm having the same problem in Medieval. Does not seem to be a problem in FOG2.

Same problem , only on fog2 medieval.

It works on and off. If you have the unknown error message appearing, click cancel and proceed again. I have found that it works on 2nd attempt.

I can't access multiplayer for regular FOG2. I get:

"The server has been unable to validate your details. Please contact the support forums"

I have tried multiple times to the same effect.

Same for me, using the Steam version.

Same here.

Had problems here too over last few days on fog2,fog medieval and fog empires multiplayer, various log in errors, most often fix themselves after a few attempts, sometimes mostly at least game works, sometimes none, but usually ok after a few attempts (sometimes spread over a few mins) . Feels like connection errors but internet my end is fine. Have other friends in UK and other countries who have similar issue.

I thought my account had a problem or something. I had a hard time connecting since Thursday. Though it was a connection on my end. I could play my tournament turn again on Sunday until 6 hours ago. I hope this won't get me timed out from the tournament...

Fog was working for me five or six hours ago but now can't validate my details.

On the up side if your involved in a comp, DRAWS all round!

More points than most of us are used to.

Same problem on Field of Glory II Tournament "Rome against the World".

Followed what you are supposed to do, which included uninstalling and then reinstalling and still unable to ruddy validate....Go to Tech Support, type in the message you receive and hopefully you may be luckier than I.

FOG2 Server Down? Looks like an issue for folk, just login it to add weight to numbers...
