Hello,

I joined a multiplayer game and chose 2 factions with hotseat mode. How do I switch between factions? I surrendered with one and seem to be stuck, as it won't let me go to my other faction.

With Hotseat Mode active you can choose to play more than one nation (as long as there are free player spots). You play your nations back-to-back. Play the first nation and then end the turn, and then you will be able to load the MP game to play the second nation. If you resign from the MP game you do so as a player, and resign all nations that you are playing. There is no way to resign just one of your nations.

In my last MP game with friends they chose a first tier nation each and I selected Epirus (2nd tier) and Burgundi (3rd tier) to play. Epirus was surrounded by human players, so I wanted obscure Burgundi to allow me to hang in the game should everyone decide to whack Eprius. It turns out that I shouldn't have bothered, since Epirus won. It is nice to have the multi-nation option because, otherwise, when you are out - you are out.

I've read that in some friendly MP games each player chooses one nation from each of the three tiers to play to make sure that no one is eliminated until the game comes to a proper conclusion.
