Highest German award

My Dir Gebirgsjager got Iron Cross with Oak leaves ? Isn't that highest German award ? I am asking because I didnt get steam achievement for it...

Highest is the Golden Iron Cross with Oak Leaves, Sword, and Diamonds. You have a ways to go. If you are playing the Grand Campaign it takes 3500 kills. Not easy, but doable.

I am currently on Kharkov 43, which means there are still whole 43, then 44 and 45 campaigns. If you have Uber Rudel or your SE Panzers should be able to get it
