I have lost a token, even though I am in the top 3rd of the CDR. I have not lost any objectives. Are there other ways of losing tokens that I am not aware of? I'm early in the game as the Romans and have just completed the Samnium event for 100 legacy points. Is this the cause as it doesn't mention this in the description?

Did you check all your messages, setting priority at medium, not high?

I currently have notifications set to standard. I did not see any messages concerning tokens. Should I be using a different setting?
