Every time I Offer Gift to a nation the relation score drops. It seems to be having the opposite effect to the description.

Something is very odd about Offer Gift.

If I offer a gift to an ally, the Relation score stays the same or drops (by quite a lot sometimes).

Example:-
Turn 84: Rome relation: 71
Offer Gift (the first gift for ages)
Turn 85: Rome relation: 59
Reload save.
Turn 84: Rome relation: 71
Do nothing
Turn 85: Rome relation: 72

The same thing happens with other nations that I have a >50 relationship with.

Is Offer Gift meant to be so wildly erratic in effect?

I'm not sure, both gift and insult options land positive returns for me. I play on 1.3.4 tho, so that might be bug in the new version.

I confirm it works, but you have to know you can't get past 50 relationships. No more buying your way to alliance e.g.
