Evading cavalry

Has something changed w.r.t. cavalry evading charges from other cavalry? There has been a dramatic increase in my cavalry fleeing when charged. I am referring to situations were my cavalry is better than my opponents i.e. mostly superior armoured LSp charged by average, armoured LSp but also instances of superior, protected LSp been charged by average, protected bow. My units n these instances have suffered no casualties and are not threatened in any way by other enemy units. There are many other instances which are debatable but I suppose possible with extreme bad luck. This is happening in both FOG2 ancients and medieval.

In a word, no.

As SnuggleBunnies said the answer is no. For more details refer to the recent "Skirmishers" thread. I posted links to the official dev response, which has general takeaways and the whole code related to evasion chance.

So any ideas why it is happening?

The most important parts are: cavalry unit may check who the most dangerous enemy units in vicinity instead of the original enemy charger. And the more enemy units in charge range, the more "desirable" it will be for potentially targeted cavalry to evade.
Code supposed to check 2 turns in advance, but I feel like it only does so successfully for the current turn, that's why many tricks work that otherwise wouldn't. I think your superior cavalry might be outnumbered by enemy cav in the case you've described above.

Thanks I read the thread and understand that no changes have been made. In saying that something has changed because besides this evading issue I am experiencing 3 other out of the normal events. The first two below have previously been reported.
1. Average units are not routing when below 50%. RBS said this was a rounding up issue. I don't disagree but why have I never experienced it at all in the the 1000 plus games and now have had it happen four times in approximately the last 50 games?
2. What is happening even more often is when I move a unit and then want to redo the move it won't allow me as it thinks I have seen a previously unseen unit. This is absolutely not the case as there are no enemy units not visible to at least some units in my army.
3. What I haven't reported but is also becoming more common is units that have not moved in that turn are not able to move into legitimate squares with full AP's available. They have not been involved in ant engagement in the previous turn either. It appears that a unit that was ZOC'ing them and is now in combat is still applying a ZOC.
All of the above and the cavalry evading when they should not are relatively new. Something is different.

It is definitely not at any disadvantage or faced with any potential future threat in the instances I am referring too.

Not true. It only checks for other units that could charge this turn.

Further to the above I have just tried to delete a game that has gone over 7 days (25 April) and got the message I cannot delete this game because it has not gone over 7 days. This is also a new phenomena.

What does that have to do with "evading cavalry"?
You've already created a thread for it
here, with that phenomenon reported as well.

That thread I created was a completely different issue and I only now see your post on that thread.
If you read all the conversation in this thread you will see that I mention other issues. The relevance is that some of the issues might related to the possible "rounding issue". Please explain how you would like these issues communicated without compiling a report?

"
End Stalled Game post update" and "
The End Stalled Game function is no longer working since the last upgrade" don't sound completely different to me, but on the contrary quite related. At least more related than to "
Evading cavalry".

Nitpicking is even less related to any of these issues. I was under the impression the issue of ending stalled games was fixed because it worked after I posted that thread hence the date issue was something new to me and could relate to the rounding issue. What value have you added to sorting out my issues by going on about relevance?

Don't think it was ever fixed; it just changed from nothing happening (despite saying "
deleting it from the server") via the "
unknown error" message to the current "
You cannot claim this game because it has been updated in the last 7 days" (despite it hasn't).

I've kept reporting the changing type of error in your original "
End Stalled Game post update" thread, latest time about "
You cannot claim..." on April 18, half a month before you posted it in this "
Evading cavalry" thread.
