I'm kinda surprised no one has created status markers yet for FoG to depict BG's that are broken, fragmented, disrupted, etc... Not on the Yahoo group either.

If anyone knows where I can find some of these on line I would appreciate a heads up.

some people use red, orange, green tiddlywinks etc. I use dead or injured blokes that you can get from lots of figure makers. Donnington do some eespecially for FoG. Just make each one different. 1 injured bloke on a penny for dirupted, 2 for fragged and 3 for broken

Litko has a nice set. Also, charge markers with arrows to show direction.

Poker Chips work swell. Green for Disrupted, Yellow for Fraged and red for rout.. I put 2 down to show they cant be rallied in this turn.. In the JAP, i take one off. Now they are good to rally for next turn.(unless they drop another lvl)

Veni Vidi Vici also do a set of counters to cover all circumstances.

I use tiddlywinks, but the counters for ambushes are very useful. I did like the figures somebody had done which was basically a bush with one Roman standing in the middle

I don't believe there are any official FOG counters

I use Red, Yellow and Green markers from Wilkinson

I made my own ones, one standing stone on a small coin for disrupted, 1 large standing stone on a bigger coin for fragmented, 2 large standing stones on a large coin for broken (which I collect when they run off table to remind me of the score). Good for use with my Picts, must think of something for the Venetians though

I put the marker on the base of the BG when they fail the test, taking off of the base and placing it next to the BG at the end of the Joint Action Phase so that I know they can test next turn.

I had bought a bag of some old Minifigs really cheap a couple of years ago. I snipped the bases off,put some putty on a round GW base and laid the figure down in it. I then painted and flocked it,came out quite nicely. I also made ambush markers with little scenes of skirmishers hiding behind small trees and bushes. The number of figures corresponding with the ambush number. One nice byproduct of this was I found out,with my updated painting skills,how nice Minifigs can look(I hadnt painted any in 15 or so years).

made my own. i got some "fantasy" terrain bases and flocked them

i use square bases with a yellow shield for disrupted, and round bases with a red shield for fragged.

routing is usually marked by BG facing in the wrong direction

I also make markers, particularily for the 25mm armies. I use trees with generic individual scout types - light infantry or cavalry. There are some 28mm figures on their hands and knees made by gripping beast which look like someone spying which surrounded by bushes look great.
For disorder markers I use stoney ground, for serious disorder I put a few shields and discarded spears.
For disruption markers I use broken figures, or individual wounded figures - again Gripping Beast for 25mm - their celtic casualties are so generic as to be universally useful, their teutonic arrow storm and injured packets are each very useful for medieval armies.
In 15mm Donnington figures are great, with the greatest variety, but also some other manufacturers have started = though again I find that damaged figures in my lead pile can easily be converted with some snipping and plentiful dead.
I simply paint traffic ligtht colours round the disruption markers.
At Ascot I got praised a lot for these things - they make the battle field look better, unlike poker chips etc which in my opinion are sensible but pragmatism comes at the price of lost beauty. I like the clutter of dead etc.
I like the above idea about routing having extra markers, mind.

My friend Mark painted up a number of Donnington ancient causality figures with clothing and shield painted the appropriate status color.

I've also seen the pre-made "flying wing" plastic status counters which look nice

Old Glory have some 25mm viking casualty figures, which I plan on using markers in armies from the wolves books. They should work quite well
