When you are short of one turn, e.g. sitting in front of a victory objective and can't get it anymore while knowing the mistakes you made that led to this situation
i.e. mistakes as in: not having done best unit deployment, not having done best moves, not having been bold enough, having been sidetracked, not having foreseen certain situation, etc.

just happened an hour ago: I overlooked a bridge (exit path) of the last enemy infantry unit with 1 strength point, so that wounded infantry recaptured a town behind my lines instead of holding their last city hex. By the time my lone unit arrived to finish the enemy, the AI already spawned 3 more units...

Before I discovered dice chess, I was playing Sea Lion and had a Spitfire surrounded and somehow it survived 6 attacks and fled with 1 HP remaining. You can imagine how that felt

Since I started playing dice chess, not so much really. It's annoying if you lose a favourite unit, but it's usually you're own fault for exposing it. Same when you get a rubbish hero, but I always take them as it's part of the game.

I love this thread....as I get so very very frustrated at times with this game. One of the key times is when I am playing someone mp and I watch frustratingly how they systematically decimate every single one of my defenses. SP is frustrating when you lose 1 or 2 units in a campaign. MP is insufferable as you watch 5 or 6 units per day get lost.
(Fortunately it is me inflicting these kind of losses on my opponents, but when it happens to me I relate to my frustrated opponents.)

1) AI unit spam on the last turns to rob you out of the decisive victory.
2) AI unit is badly damaged, but not killed due to bad rolls; it retreats to heal itself and haunt you during the next turns.

Sometimes I ragequit due to my own mistake, like being too aggressive and reckless, for instance rushing artillery or AT guns forward in their transport, only to realize on the AI's turn that I forgot about this Bunker with 4 vision.
Speaking of which, a bunker should not have 4 spotting hexes, unless maybe on a hill. And, speaking of transports, I really miss the ability of transported units to dismount when attacked (with some defense penalty of course).
Then of course bad heroes, AI buying 5 three star T-34-85s in the last turn, etc, like other mentioned already.
