Ideally GS 3.0, or convince me towards 4.0.
(In terms of game design up to now I was not convinced the added complexity pays off.)

On GS 3.0 I am pretty experienced, and play both sides.
I would like to play PBEM.

It's been so long since I've played anything other than 4.0, but I think the bug fixes are the biggest selling point. The Egypt surrender spawns, the disappearing naval units - all fixed. Was the extra German FTR at start a 3.0 or 4.0 feature? I didn't agree with the additional FTR range at start (realism) but at least everyone gets it.
Allied naval movement to and from Murmansk/North Sea is a new wrinkle - Soviet DD units on the convoy runs are always helpful. The revised Polish army setup at least prolongs the inevitable a bit.

Try 4.0 - if it's your first time you'll be pleasantly surprised, I think.
If you do, I'd be happy to play you, which ever side you choose.
