Slitherine

hello, i recently came back to MoM and am running the comunity patch,however i dont like the random walking of the critters in combat,tried to remove it but it crashed when playing,what all is needed to remove update 263?

did these :

reverse.exe W263AI.TXT alter.txt
pause
fileset.exe wizards.exe alter.txt

no errors but crashes in combat or oppoinents dont attack

edit : also how do i turn off the mass-saved game files ?
