Will the bonus of a land unit Commander apply to artillery units or only direct fire units?

It's all land units.

I assign many commanders (with inf. attack/shock/assault boosts) to arty units. They are the units firing almost every turn and usually protected best from enemy fire (to prevent your commanders to be wounded).

Commanders with defense stats are more useful enclosing front units.

I’m curious whether commanders stack. Like, if I have two AOE commanders and an individual commander, does my unit get all those benefits? Because I noticed that an airborne unit had 20 attack vs infantry when equipped with a +inf attack local commander and covered by Chuikov’s +2 inf attack.
