GAme turn not delivered by server

I am in turn 13 in a tight league game. I just completed a turn and am getting the message "Game was not sent...multiple times" and I continue to attempt to send. I have seen this from time to time and from experience, I know that the great majority of times, the turn was delivered. But then this is a league game and tight and I don't want to take the chance it wasn't delivered and have to redo the turn. So I am giving at least an hour in which I will continue attempts to send the turn out. But at some point, I will cancel the turn because I can't just keep waiting and hoping it might go out at some indefinite time in the future and I am notified it has gone out.
Although the point is that the turn probably has gone out. Is it possible for the server to check the inbox of the receiver to check if the turn has arrived? Perhaps it didn't go out the first time or was delayed or something but the server is missing the fact that the turn was actually delivered at some point. Perhaps on one of follow on attempts to send the turn. Then return to the sender to indicate the transaction is complete. It seems something about the server logic is missing the actual delivery of the turn and then gets stuck in a loop of stating turn was not delivered even though it was delivered.
PS: And I just received a notification in my email that a new game turn has arrived. Possibly from the player of the game in question. If the notification indicated which game the turn belonged, I would then know the turn went through if it belonged to the game in question. As it is, I am still waiting out the hour and continuing to attempt to send.
