I have recently returned to playing mutliplayer on Panzer Corps, but I'm running into an old issue I used to have.

I'm playing the 1941 all of europe multiplayer map, but I also used to get this same bug on maps like Gazala Line.

Whenever I open up the game, if my mouse cursor at the start of the enemy turn swtiches to the waiting indicator it inevitably crashes or permanently freezes when it switches to a new camera position for animations.

I have a 1080ti. 2700x, 16gb ram without any background programs running other than steam

I was able to see all animations just fine my previous turn, but now I'm crashing or freezing every time I load up my new turn.

Update: If I disable everything including antivirus and steam, it works. However, If I click the mouse once or especially double click the game still crashes during the turn animation.

As an update, even when everything was disabled I still freeze at a lower rate, but in the multiplayer lobby menu when I click play rather than the turn animation. Whenever I freeze I usually restart my computer

best advice, and it goes for any game is,

install as admin and run as admin,

and don't use poor 3rd party AV and firewalls that aren't game friendly

then 99% of the time, most games work.

also don't use any overlay software programs on start up, MSI tools etc etc, different motherboards makers add more junk at start up and anyone of them can stop or interfere with games

I wanted to report a new crash. I was in game attacking a 203mm russian arty with an SE tiger 1 from a clear hex into a city, and the game exited back to the launcher.

I'm on Windows 10, Zotac 1080ti, amd 5600x, msi mag b550 tomahawk, 16bg ddr4 RAM. All drivers up to date.

Latest steam version of the game

The crash happened during the damage animation, but before the numbers showed up above the damaged unit

Another new crash, I had made a Guards 43 surrender in a forest with finnish infantry after using artillery, and the game crashed back to the launcher before I received the prestige.

I forgot I had MSI afterburner on and I crashed when attacking a light cruiser with a sahariana

once after burner is disabled, as long as your not running any more overlays, the game should work fine
