This may seem a stupid question, neither on the gallic nor on the german lists have I seen any comment on warhounds. Didn't they use them as support?
Thank you in advance for your answers!

You may use them as a modeling exercise --- defending laagers. Or put them with on your troop commanders bases.
Maybe one or two with a light foot jav BG. The dogs will have a positive effect on you morale. Have fun and enjoy!
Regards,
I like dogs so only do the above if you plan to win.

Dogs are probably useful for an army before and after a battle, where they can help to guard camps, track enemy scouts, and help hunt for food. In a battlefield a grown man w/ a shield and a pointy stick laughs at them.

Yea that is why whenever modern "trained" police forces show up with wild angry dogs, the police have multiple bullet wounds and the dog gets a bath and treats after the cannie control people show up.
That said, Dogs are too valuable for battle. That is what nobles are for expend them first.

So are you saying dogs are bulletproof? Or that police shoot themselves when confronted by wild angry dogs? Then again depends on the police. Most police I meet, riot or not, are fat asses who could only handle a dog when it comes in a bun.

There is option D. The dogs seize the guns and...

Actually it is usually a result of police have trouble aiming at t a fast moving dog.
