Could someone please tell me, why I can't get one step straight ahead with the heavy cav? I'm in the red ZOC of the bowmen BUT I would move out of the ZOC. My understanding was until now, that I can't move through a ZOC (yellow and red) and can't turn in the red ZOC. But this move should be possible with my current understanding of ZOC.

Manual 11.1.1

The direction of movement must be less than 45 degrees from directly away from the enemy unit.

Move one tile forward is 90 degree move.

Is this a 90degree move and not a 45degree to the enemy unit? Anyway it would be more the 45degrees. Okay, more or less understood.

No, it's 90 degrees. The angle is between bowmen facing direction and the move direction.
The angle between the indicated possible move direction and bowmen facing is 45 degrees.
