New PC won't play old PBEMs

Just bought a new PC to replace my sluggish laptop.
I copied the CEAW folder from my old PC onto an external disk and then onto my new PC.
The installation worked fine HOWEVER, when I tried to play my opponent's PBEM files, I got "incorrect password" error messages.

Is there anything I can do about this? :?:

The funny thing is: I can start games on my new PC and my opponents can play them.
Is the password keyed in on the IP address? If so, I shouldn't have had any problems.
Any of the old programmers out there? If so, can you take a look at the output PBEM files of old laptop and new PC and tell me what the discrepancy is?
