Considering OOB

I've logged many hours with the Panzer Corps series.
I am considering Order of Battle and I see that there are about 15 DLC's available.
I enjoy Panzer Corps because of the "linked" campaign progression of a play through...PC1's Grand Campaign...LOV...etc. and PC2's roll out of linked DLC's with carryover of core units.
My take with OOB DLC's that they are not "linked" campaigns but all are a stand alone campaign experience.
True?

German (4 parts) and Soviet (3 parts) campaign are linked and you can export/import your core.
Japan (2) campaign too

Just winter war and kriegmarine are stand-alone campaign, so dont worry.
Allies defiant is the start of new trilogy, it will have 2 linked dlcs in the future (this year maybe)

Thanks-would you mind detailing the particular DLC's that go with Germany...Soviet Union...Japan...Western Allies.
I would like to to choose one campaign to start...and follow it through.
Which campaign would you recommend from the standpoint of which is the most fully developed one...new features...new tactics/strategy...new UI..etc.
TXS again.

Try German campaign first
- Blitzkrieg
- Sandstorm
- Panzerkrieg
- Endsieg

Soviet
- Red Star
- Red Steel
- Red Storm

Japanese
- Morning Sun
- Rising Sun (it was vanilla campaign with US Pacific)

USA
- Boot Camp (tutorial)
- US Pacific (fleet campaign) -> all major naval battles are here + Tokyo Bay landing
- US Marine Corps (army campaign) -> "island hopping"

Burma Road is also a stand-alone campaign.

And in the Scenario Design forum for OOB (viewforum.php?f=374), there are plenty of amazing campaigns made by various users (Erik2 being the most prolific , with nearly 30 campaigns, several of them linked together: viewtopic.php?f=374&t=80862). There are also great mods and other campaigns in there to discover as well (Free France, US 1st Infantry, Spanish Civil War, etc.). Oh, and they are all user generated and free!

I played Panzer Corps extensively a couple years ago, I jumped on OOB because while still quite simple it's still more rewardingly complex and """realistic""".

I would argue all those listed above meet or exceed the quality of the official DLC's, especially Erik2's lengthy list of campaigns.

The Free France campaign is still being created, but Bru888 and ColonelY have done an amazing job so far: viewtopic.php?f=374&t=97262

The Spanish Civil War mod is here: viewtopic.php?f=374&t=88783

Conboy's 3rd US Infantry division campaign is here: viewtopic.php?f=374&t=102239

Bru88 and Erik2 create a few campaigns here as well, mostly Finnish campaigns, and one each focusing on the UK/Canada and the US/Allies v. Japan battle of New Britain in the Pacific theater: viewtopic.php?f=374&t=94345

7th Panzer "ghost" Division is here: viewtopic.php?f=374&t=83322&start=40

A Invasion of Poland 1939 campaign: viewtopic.php?f=374&t=96469

Some others started campaigns as well, and have since abandoned (taken a break from?) their projects (a US Airborne campaign: viewtopic.php?f=374&t=100646 (no actual scenarios); A remake of the Panzer Corps Grand Campaign in OOB: viewtopic.php?f=374&t=100622 (only two scenarios were created); A Finland campaign: viewtopic.php?f=374&t=73616 (Bru888 and Erik2 basically made this campaign in their Winter War series); A Panzer Corp "Soviet Corps" campaign remake in OOB: viewtopic.php?f=374&t=77226; Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) campaign: viewtopic.php?f=374&t=79908 (no scenarios); and a 1st Panzer Division campaign (called "1st Tank Division" by creator): viewtopic.php?f=374&t=75187 (no scenarios))

There are also mods to the game, such as the Forgotten Units Mod, The Gabe Mod, the In Service Mod, and Admiral's Alternate Arsenal Mod. There are also many stand-alone scenarios that you can find on the Scenario Design forum if you scroll back through the posts (many can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=374&t=64990). And if you want to play multiplayer, there are many custom multiplayer maps you can download and then play with your friends or the wider online OOB community (viewtopic.php?f=374&t=64991). You can even find great downloads to modify the skins of your vehicles (https://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewto ... 64&t=85464; these are also included in the community crate in the actual game)!
