Next to the strength plate of a unit there can be a small, green number. On a/c it seems to be length of time left before it has to land. What does it signify for land units, ammo?

Number of turns before the unit will be out of supply. Found on Paras and Marines.
Cheers

Thanks. Makes sense IF there are isolated from a supply source but none are.

OK two turns have past and one unit has not move, fired or been fired upon. It is in supply but the number has not changed from one. How do you get this number to increase?

If you really mean the strength number you need to use repair to increase it.
Repair requires available resources.
I believe this is explained in the manual.

No, not the strength number. As I said there's smaller green number next to the strength number on some units. As has been point out they are on marines, airbourne also on aircraft. I understand what there are now what I don't understand for marines and airbourne is how to remove/increase them.

Basically, when the Paras drop in they drop with 3 turns of supply, and after 3 turns will be out of supply.
When you link up to the Para unit it will be back in supply and should increase back up to 3 over the next few turns.
Subs also have the small number and it represents how long it can stay submerged.
Cheers.
Edit: You can't remove the number.

Chris, these question threads of yours belong in the main forum, not Tech Support. You may have noticed that I moved your other threads here as well. It's better anyway; more players will see your questions in this forum.

Ooops! Did not noticewhere I'd put it
As I said in an earlier post. I had a unit in supply that did not recover anything in two turns. This is not an instanteous gain then when in supply, some sort of randomness involved.
