Brighton : What if you save some of your ships?

Brighton: I managed to sink all the British Ships except the Aircraft Carriers and could have kept my own Aircraft Carrier with two points left: Is there any consequence in the future scenarios, for exemple in Portsmouth?

Unless it has some impact on future DLC it actually does not carry over to Portsmouth sadly. I managed to sink all ships on one of my runs as well, but had to face some of them again in Portsmouth. Ghost ships?

No, there is no special reward or such for having any of your ships survive, and that was a near thing too! Same is true if you sink all of the British ships.

Sadly, no! I have always been a major advocate of the player at least getting some message if they manage to pull this off. You're fleet will still be "devastated" as Habermann describes it in the following scenario, at least I haven't found a way to win without major losses, but still having your flagship the Bismarck survive should at least get a grateful message of disbelief from Admiral Lutjens, at least I think that would have been a really cool touch.

Indeed. I was curious about what would happen if I didn't lost any ship, and in the end I managed to do it by avoiding any contact with the Royal Navy and deploying lots of stat bombers. Nothing changes in the debriefing. It's silly. No need for the game to change anything substantially, just something like saying "your clever tactics managed to save the bulk of the Kriegsmarine, but the superiority of the British Navy is so great that high command ordered a hasty retreat of all capital ships to avoid further encounters ending in a catastrophe."

Jupp this would be nice or something like a secret goal.
After destroying x english ship you get a msg like " the english fleet is to strong but we sunk enough ships that ourer fleet try to break trough the blockade"
New goal: own ships need to reach position x for retreat"
If you reach the position you can say retreat or try to sink some more english ship. Depending on the amount of sunken english ships you get a mag retreat was successful with large dmg on own ships or the ships dont escaped
Or something like ingame msg.
The english fleet is stronger than our fleet, a nearby uboot wolfpack are on their way to hunt some englush troop transports. Should we send an request for help? (X comm points). If the wolfpack comes to help they lost the chance to hunt these troop transports but our ships will be have a chance to retreat.
By sending the sos some uboots will spawn and our other ships will need to reach a map position.
In the next mission we will face some strong enemy units maybe with a special hero like de gaule. And more english ships needed to be sunk for the bonus objective. And no uboots support in the mission

Well tbh first time I played Brighton I almost lost my whole fleet.
Second time, when I knew what was coming, it killed the english fleet without any loss.
Sadly like you guys already said, it has no effect, not even a reward. After the mission the dude tells you, that you lost the fleet and the invasion is over.
I like the way how can do operation see lion and still go back to the historical way. But this mission should really be changed.
Easiest way, put in some small rewards like 2 commendation points and some dialoges, like "our navy has won the fight, but the enemy got too much reinforcements, so we have to retreat to france/germany..."
Another option could be a nother speciell mission, like in AO1942. Your ships try to go home and your airforce has to protect them.
When pacific comes out and the naval fights are improved, I think there is a lot of potential.
Is there any change DLCs get updated in that way, years after the release?
