What a year it has been, I only managed a couple of rounds of FOG-R all year and re-basing my old armies to FOG-R has not been an entirely satisfactory substitute for the comradeship of face-to-face game-play.

Is it tempting providence to start thinking about FOG-R competition rounds (at OWS Wolvercote and elsewhere?) for 2021?

So far I only have Godendag on the calendar (although with this only a month away, it is unclear if this will go ahead, especially if there is a post Christmas spike).

Anyone aware of any others in the calendar for 2021?

There will be events at Polly Bowls Club, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts - as soon as we can legally re-open. There will be rules relating to Covid, but we look forward to hosting events soon. We suspect there will be a numbers cap, but as we have a couple of rooms we can use that may well help. Hopefully, there will be some news imminently for a first event of some kind.

At this time I am waiting to see if Godendag is going ahead, and when Oxford is preparing to run events, but as soon as it looks likely that dates can be kept to I will enter them.

With Wales having a spike at the moment, it will be interesting to see if Godendag will be able to run..........we can but hope.

So the first casualty of the 2021 campaigning season has been announced!

Just heard from Andy Walpole, Event Manager @ The South Wales Gaming Centre that Godendag 2021 is cancelled - no word on whether it is to be re-arranged to a later date, but as I have also received a refund of my entry fee, I assume not!

As soon as we are down to T2 we will be opening in Sutton in Ashfield. Suspect we might be waiting a while though!

Bought a ticket for the FOG-R tournament at Warfare in November - fingers crossed we will be allowed out then!

Just got an email from the Warfare 2021 tournaments team that due to only 5 advance ticket purchases for the event at Ascot on 27/28 Nov, they are cancelling the FoG-R competition. David (B)
