I hope this question is not too dumb but...
I am assuming you can either play the main campaign or the DLC's? Can you go from the DLC's then import your force to the main campaign?

You can import your units from one installment of Axis Operations series to another (e. g. from Spanish Civil War to 1939, or from 1939 to 1940). But you cannot import units between the main Wehrmacht campaign and Axis Operations. They are not connected.

One can import AO DLC armies into the main campaign with a mod.
But then one starts with a much better army and it is a walk over, not recommended.
