in the editor, I can set this:

But in the editor manual I cant find details.
  • Attacker
    • Will it rather go to a visible empty victory hex or attack a visible enemy unit?
    • Will it move towards a victory hex in "fog of war" or move to a visible enemy target?
  • Defender
    • Whats the difference to Hold position (active)?
  • Hold position (active)
    • AA moved from a victory hex away to attack my Stucka
    • Will AI stay after it had moved or try to move back to original position?
  • Hold position (passive)
    • Is this like active but may NOT move?

Hold active. The unit won't move unless there is a suitable target.
Hold fire. The unit won't move but will fire at targets in range.
Hold passive. The unit won't move. It will only fire if attacked.
Can't help much with the others. I have learned that patrol zone X is quite useful for directing AI units in a preferred direction.

The Editor gives these indications:
Default means that the AI is free to decide how to use the unit best. Attacker or defender are also generic settings, but the AI is supposed to use the unit for attack and defense respectively.
The AI's stance(attacker or defender) is ignored.

Looking in some scenarios, I often found AI behaviour = Default but not attacker or defender (?)
I suppose that if the player is the attacker, Default for the AI = defender and if the AI is the attacker, Default for the AI = attacker (?)
I don’t know if other people have more information?
