Air Redeployment Hexes

I thought that the Exit hexes could be used as redeployment hexes if set for Allow Redeploy. Is this not the case? Or must the planes re-deploy on an allowable redeployment hex? I had to put deployment hexes for the planes to re-deploy after exiting to make this work, I didn't think I would have to because the Exit hex could be used as a redeployment hex. (there's a picture below)

Also, one picture shows two airfield - one in allied territory that allows deployment (western airfield), and the other, a captured airfield that does NOT allow deployment (eastern airfield). Why does the captured airfield not allow deployment?

sincerely,

Is the flag raised ?

Flag is not raised... I guess that would do it?
Have to wait till the flag is raised to deploy.
Okay, got it.

thanks, Terminator!

p.s. -- any idea about the exit hex being used as a deployment hex? Is that a no-go?

We can’t use the Exit hex as a redeployment area otherwise it would be an endless loop...I guess because I never tried.

PS: You can use the adjacent hexagons to redeploy by slightly spacing the Exit hex
