Just today (11/20/2020) Gladius has stopped launching for me. I click 'PLAY' on steam, it tries to load for a moment before failing without an error message, then the 'PLAY' button returns. The launcher doesn't even start.

I have tried all of the following:
- updating Nvidia drivers
- closing all background apps
- re-starting PC and steam
- verifying integrity of game files
- re-installing gladius
- ensured that windows antivirus isn't flagging Gladius (I don't have another antivirus installed)

The only thing I have done that worked, was revert to the Tyranids legacy beta. The launcher started and game ran. I would obviously prefer to play the up-to-date version of Gladius, so I am curious if there are any ideas on how to solve this issue.
Included are the MSInfo file, DxDiag file, and the launcher log which is the only log that is being written.

you have no sound device apart from USB and headphones, drivers need to be installed for onboard or plug in some speakers at least and re try / test to see if it works

I found a fix. Find the launcher and game executeable files in your local files, right click and go to properties -> compatibility, check the box 'Run this program as administrator'. That solved this problem for me.

Since the beta ran without an issue, I am *guessing* that this issue is something on the developer's side. I found others having this exact same issue in the steam discussions.

installing and running as admin is recommending on every game i own and use

on windows 10

it sets up the correct permissons, allows the right settings in the AV and firewall

and is what microsoft recommends on everything that needs installing that you know to be safe

I am able to get the launcher running, but after I click play nothing happens. Been assuming it's because my computer is too old but after reading these comments I wonder... Tried running as admin like suggested (thanks for the advice by the way) and now I'm getting an error about not having a vulkan-1.dll Doing a bit more research on that topic leads me to a lot of recommendations to visit various sites and download various files. Which, I'm hesitant to go doing willy-nilly for obvious reasons. Thoughts?
