Manslayer

Just got this game and have received an item that has the term "Manslayer" attached to it. What's it mean? Can't find any reference to it in the manual nor on the forum!
Pretty sure it tells you when you equip it on a unit then check their effects.
If I recall it's a 20% damage boost against humans
