Are these statements correct? I have started to confuse myself!!! The rulebook is quite clear I'm sure but I've begun to doubt my reading of it!!!

1) Shock mounted who do not wish to charge LF/LH in range and in the open would have to test not to do so?

2) The above does not apply if there is a friendly unit between the shock mounted and the LF/LH such that the shock mounted would have to burst through those friends to charge them?

3) Shock foot never have to test not to charge mounted enemy?

4) Shock foot in the open who do not wish to charge LF in range and in the open would have to test not to do so?

5) The above does not apply in a case similar to 2) above?

6) Shock MF do not have to test not to charge enemy HF if the charge would take them out of "advantageous" terrain?

7) Shock HF do not have to test not to charge enemy foot if the charge would take them into "disadvantageous " terrain?

If any of the above is a misreading/misconception, I'd be grateful if you could point out where I'd misconstrued!

Thanks!
Martin

Number 1 correct you must test
Number 2 not sure but i think you can burst through your lights but not Medium or Heavies to get too enemy. Could be wrong.
Number 3 true you don't need to charge
Number 4 True you need to test
Number 5 As far as I can remember you can't charge foot through lights.
Number 6 True
Number 7 Don't know about shock foot shock cavalry don't need to test if it would force them into disordering terrain.

Hope other people can confirm the ones i am not to sure on.

Martin,

You are spot on.

Dave,

The bit you need to read is the one that starts:

"Otherwise, if shock troops would normally be required ... (stuff about having to burst through friends)

Then the second bullet reads:

"They do not test (and will not charge) if all the enemy in reach are skirmishers"

Thanks for that Hammy :)
