Slitherine

I just bought me Pike and Shot Campaigns on Steam. After download and installation I get a registration code in XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX format. When I enter it at the steam site, it says 'invalid registration code' and tells me to check with Slitherine. I would like to register because I want to play multiplayer too. Can you help me please?

In the meantime I have registered my game on the Slitherine website and I get a register code for Steam. This steam code is exactly the same code as the slitherine code and again steam tells me this code is unvalid?! What should I do?
