Especially in an Empire Aflame, I have found that if Moira skeletons guards has been useful as a slowing impediment for ennemies attacks, for real offense I have much more often used the summoning powers of my Wolf Mother which has also much more versatility. Ailsa the Blind summoning powers are also good given the speed of its floating minions, but are only offensive oriented. Transmuter and Acolytes are not interesting as summoner, but can slow an enemy advance. Doughal Ravencloak has too little summoning capacity. I haven't been able to use in battle the capacity of Master Ocram to summon the full inventory of undead, but may be somebody can give me its opinion?
As my preferred caster hero Moira is really powerful in the last stage of the game, and the Wolf Mother as my all-around Swiss knife from the early stage of the game.
