Howdiez. Since the developers are occupied with the other titles in their portfolio at the moment, and don't have time to correct less important stuff in OOB, I went through all English text files for Blitzkrieg campaign to fix misspellings, typos, and general linguistic conveyance, but I need feedback (mainly for towns'/cities' names for Soviet locations). I also corrected the general English files for the whole game, but these are in the "alpha" state.

However, I don't know how this stuff is handled on this forum. Is it OK to post [only] text files from the game on here, so interested people could test them? Or what? Normally, I would create a thread of "Unofficial [Some Name] Pack For OOB" and be done with it, but it backfired at me in the past, so I better ask this time, hehe.

===================================================================

It's done, Jurij. The Blitzkrieg campaign's texts were revised for all typos, inconsistencies, overly mixed tenses, and stuff like that.

I need feedback still, though. Also, only campaign's texts were touched; everything else will stay as it is.

INSTALLATION:

Download the archive and unpack into the "OOB - WW2" installation main directory, and overwrite. Back up the whole folder with the campaign, just in case. You're done. Bear in mind that Steam's "auto validation" option (or what is it called?) will overwrite the swapped files, so you would need to disable it for the downloaded shit to work, yo.

If you're willing to share, please do, I don't see a problem posting something like that here. But make sure it's "zipped" or you may have trouble uploading to the forum.

And, for conveniece's sake, as you're overwriting stock game files, make also sure the text files are in the same folder structure - nobody wants to go through all scen folders with the explorer individually, dropping a single text file into each.

Just curious, what happened there?

PS: I won't be any help testing it probably, but the effort's appreciated and I'll gladly download/use it!

A good point... I support the "idea" , as I wanted to make full hungarian language support, so I could use the source in english.

Nice, thanks! Installation works perfectly.

I've only checked some minor things, e.g. the "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" title that does not fit into the message box since... forever...

Blood, Toil, Tears and Sweat

May 13, 1940.
First Speech as Prime Minister to House of Commons

On May 10, 1940, Winston Churchill became Prime Minister. When he met his Cabinet on May 13 he told them that “I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat.” He repeated that phrase later in the day when he asked the House of Commons for a vote of confidence in his new all-party government. The response of Labour was heart-warming; the Conservative reaction was luke-warm. They still really wanted Neville Chamberlain. For the first time, the people had hope but Churchill commented to General Ismay: “Poor people, poor people. They trust me, and I can give them nothing but disaster for quite a long time.”
