(SOLVED) 1.7 update broke mod support for GOG version of Gladius. A workaround please?

*This issue was fixed with patch 1.71.
I have a question about using mods on the GOG.com version of W40K: Gladius. I bought the game a while ago and all of the DLC through GOG, including the new Aeldari DLC. I love the game and enjoy making mods for personal use. Today, I did a fresh install of Gladius with the 1.7 update and reinstalled all of the DLC, including the new Eldar. Before now, my mods could be accessed in game by putting them in Documents/Proxy Studios/Gladius/Mods. However, after the 1.7 update, the game says that I don't have any mods when I go to activate them in game. How can I again play the game with mods on the GOG version? Is there a new location that I should place the mods in or a workaround solution?
