And here we go with both the next round´s army lists in one picture for immediate comparison.
(This is something I´d really like to have in the game.)

Note the scarcity of Veterans. No Veteran Pikes for Pyrrhus, no Veteran Africans for Carthage, no Veteran Hoplites for either.
All in all, I would rather be Pyrrhus: He has Pikes, Elephants, Xystophoroi; the Carthaginians lack all that. Their Chariots have been phased out, their only specialty left is Balearic Slingers, but it´s only one unit.

The Pyrrhic army does have the definite edge in heavy infantry and cavalry. The elephant support for a mounted wing makes it overpowering. 4 of its 6 light foot have ranged weapons making them a lot more versatile and dangerous.
The Carthaginians shouldn't be written off though; they have a significant advantage in light horse which can be helpful in countering the enemy cavalry and light foot, and overwhelming superiority in medium foot in both quality (Spanish) and quantity (Phoenician). You will need to be cautious in your deployment and maximize the use of rough ground, or you will likely get steamrolled.

Agree, mostly.
On a very open map, I think the Carthaginians are toast; though the may try to swarm, perhaps.
If the terrain is more difficult, then, yes, their mediums might prevail.

Given the only semi-open map, I believe the armies are closely matched this round. Perhaps 55:45 in favour of Pyrrhus, but should be winnable for either side.
