[Gameplay][AA and hidden targets [8.6.0]

It seems that AA units may target unobserved enemy air units.
Check the screenshot, the British air is not displayed on the map.
This may be of course be a graphic glitch....
I'm testing a custom multiplayer scenario in hot-seat mode and thus can't provide a save-game.

Edit: The air unit became visible after firing at it.

I tried to reproduce it with vanilla 8.6.0 but my bomber arrived visible on the hex with the same terrain like yours.
Dunno but looks like an unfortunate glitch. However, I vaguely remember to have observed something like this too long time ago. Maybe it happens when I play a little longer again.

Erik, you did not give the Brits some unused/broken spec again, did you? :wink:

Similar things will happen though, if you give a unit without the "spotter" trait (like tanks) the minesweeper ability (like that one Jap tank). Then you are able to clear "undetected" minefields...

And personally I'm completely unsure how (or if) the "camouflaged" trait works on air units (e.g. commander #94 aka K.K.) and/or if they're targetable by land-AA then.

I just had the same experience when a British Humber moved next to a German flak. The flak was invisible until the Humber attacked.
So it looks like a display glitch.

Heh, maybe it's time for a reinstallation? At least I haven't noticed any ninja invasion in my sessions yet.
